Why Niche Marketing Is a Great Way to Make Money Online

Just before I give you the three armored concrete reasons in favor of niche marketing, let’s talk a little more about search engine optimization.

To make SEO definition more clear-cut to you, I’ll show you some analogy here.

Say you’ve got a brand new site built. Now imagine it to be a candidate for governor of one of the millions states belonging to one huge virtual country. For this candidate you’ll be an assistant, a speech writer and a PR manager in one person.

You’ll run a thorough investigation and tell him what audience to target (keyword research), you’re gonna write convincing, appealing and thoroughly deliberated speeches for him (content creation), and attract more and more supporters to his campaign (backlink building). The last part is especially important.

BTW, you don’t have to do it all by yourself. You can hire different specialists which can do all the work professionally (outsourcing).

Fortunately, in most cases you don’t have any time frames here, so if you run your campaign in the right and consistent manner, eventually the head of Election Committee (i.e. Google) will announce the new governor of the desired state.

And if you’ve chosen the right state (niche), you won’t have any budget deficit.

I really hope this example cleared some things up for you. There’s a whole bunch of details involved, but in a nutshell it looks pretty much like that.

Now let’s see why building SEO friendly niche sites is a lucrative business:

  • Free traffic. You can build the most beautiful site in the world, but if it doesn’t get any visitors (traffic), it’s absolutely worthless. Most marketers struggle with getting traffic to their sites and it’s one of the main reasons why 95% of them fail. Well, with your SEO friendly websites built in the right niches you won’t have problems with traffic.
  • Targeted traffic. There’s a saying that goes like this: “All traffic is not created equal.” The main reason why we create our sites is to convert visitors into buyers. And our potential buyers are targeted visitors who type the search phrase into Google. Since Google had announced our site the governor, we have a huge chance to get the most targeted traffic in our niche.
  • Passive income. This one is my favorite 🙂 The beauty of niche marketing is in the “set and forget” principle. You set up your site once, get it to the first page of Google and it brings you money month after month almost on autopilot. Of course you should check its positions from time to time, and if it starts losing rankings, take the necessary actions. But compared to amount of time initially spent on setting up the site, the maintenance costs are tiny.

In my opinion, these three reasons are convincing enough to put some effort into creating more and more of those profit pulling websites.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed this post.
